The Calm Photography Movement

The Calm Photography Movement helps men express their emotions and provoke conversation through the medium of photography.

They were raising funds for the award-winning CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably), a charity dedicated to preventing male suicide – the biggest single killer of men under the age of 45 in the UK.

Open Project

Concept

We worked with CALM pro-bono to take the public through an interactive and immersive journey through The Calm Photography Movement exhibition at the Getty Images Gallery in London.

We created a fully-interactive 360˚ experience of the exhibition inside the gallery. From their desktop or mobile browsers, viewers can move around and interact with every photograph on display.

Every piece in the gallery can be viewed up-close with clickable caption information. Each caption helped to reinforce the message of the exhibition.

The project is also compatible for use with a VR headset for a fully-immersive experience.

RESULT

Over £17k raised for mental health

The inaugural 9-day exhibition helped to raise over £17,000 for CALM. The immersive gallery experience galvanised activation on digital channels, and – thanks to the experience – the full body of work at the exhibition has been immortalised online.
