THE CHALLENGE

Educate and wow investors at Capital Markets Day.

In 2017 Drax acquired LaSalle BioEnergy, a pellet production site in Louisiana. Since then, it has become a crucial part of Drax’s renewable energy supply chain.

For their Capital Markets Day, Drax wanted to virtually transport investors to Louisiana. Here, they could show their audience how the innovation at LaSalle has helped the renewable energy team achieve ROI.

The Vismedia team created an immersive walkthrough of the LaSalle site. It takes audiences end-to-end, showing how Drax manufactures wooden pellets from biomass fuel.

THE SOLUTION

An immersive and interactive 360° experience.

Content creation

We completed a shoot in Louisiana to capture video, photography and 360° content. This content became the structure and form for the immersive experience.

Web-based immersion

The experience uses blended 360° photography, videos and animation to immerse investors. It enables the audience to explore LaSalle from a web browser or VR headset.

Future-thinking sustainability

The experience is hosted online. Prospective clients and investors could receive an interactive and immersive tour – anytime, anywhere.

Beyond Capital Markets Day, it means Drax can cut down on costly business travel.

Multi-purpose use cases

The 360° experience has unlocked potential for Drax’s internal audiences too. The tour is deployed to upskill and educate Drax’s teams throughout the world.

The LaSalle BioEnergy tour played a huge role during the Drax Capital Markets Day. It had a dedicated stand that took many investors through LaSalle inside a VR headset and through a desktop web browser.
